Formative and Summative Approaches to Assessment
This online workshop contains an overview of the effectivity of formative assessment tools compared to summative ones. Teachers who have difficulty assessing their students and finalizing their results will benefit from this workshop. This Workshop pursues the following aims:
- To uncover dominant issues with assessment
- To discover Different types of Formative Assessment
- To discover Different types of Summative Assessment
- To find evidence for effectivity of formative and summative assessment
- To apply Formative and Summative approaches to final assessment
| Tutor: Yousef Mousavi completed his bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature. In 2012, he earned his master’s degree in English Language teaching (ELT). Yousef also got his TESOL certificate in 2020. He has published many articles in ELT journals. He also presented papers both in Iran and Turkey at the international and local ELT seminars and conferences. Yousef has also been giving many IELTS, TOEFL as well as TESOL lessons and online workshops. In 2019, he joined at Uskudar University Language School and has been working as a level coordinator since then. Currently, He is doing his PhD in ELT at Islamic Azad University. |
